I recently witness the blessing of a man being at peace with death in a way i would hope to be when God calls on me to leave this world. He was told of his illness and was given a very short time. The Mack, the movie that changed my life. This was my introduction to the streets in a way i had never known. Was it the movie ? Was it the summer vacation, the return to my birthplace ? Why had i become so attracted to the night life ? The truth being told, most of my adolescent behavioral issues started before the movie, before the summer vacation. Growing up in Durham, North Carolina, i had already experienced behavioral patterns that eventually led me to the street life.
